As a girl, I recollect prehending my grandmother's saree and wondering how a long fabric turned into this garment... how it is this soft and soothing..... Textile is nostalgic to a consequential extent, especially for all of those born in this country.

Through most of our childhood, we are exposed to a wide range of fabrics; it is astounding how seamlessly textiles integrate into our lives. Because of my profound appreciation towards fabrics, I would conventionally pick up little swatches from the couturier shop when I visited with my grandma or mom. Just a few misplaced swatches of uncut yarns and rough ends, but it's the rawness that appealed to me.

Today, moons ago....

That little girl who was mystified with fabrics grew up to be a designer and a fabric enthusiast & aficionado.....Over the years, I've been amassing swatches and integrating them together in exceptionally repurposed journals.
